So glad you found me! I am Nikki (or Nicole - no I don't have a preference) the human behind the camera.
I am a family loving mother of two living my best life in a teenie tiny mountain community keeping myself busy with as many "Grandma Hobbies" as I can manage! You can usually find me at home with a coffee in hand riddled with anxiety taking care of one of my many animals. When I'm not working on the previous things or my photography I fill my days by helping out at my kids school as much as possible. I'm wildly infatuated with my amazing husband deeply involved in my kids worlds and much more comfortable and content with animals than people. Fall is my favorite season as there are the best sunsets, warm colors, perfect temperatures , and no bugs to annoy me during outside time. Nothing quenches my hunger quite like a good sandwich and nothing makes me feel as cozy or cool as a sweet pair of stance socks.
I live with everyday anxiety which has oddly enough made me more observant , more empathetic, and really good at noticing the little moments other may miss. I have had an obsession with photography since I can remember. Scrounging up change and saving every penny to purchase/develop disposable cameras when I was young. My Photography style leans more toward warm and moody meets honest emotion. I believe that the best things are the most simple; warm light, lived in moments, hard laughs, meaningful connections, and an experience that feels easy instead of awkward and forced.
